Shipping Policy

At Bluebird Precision and Tactical, we follow all federal, state, and local laws when shipping firearms, ammunition, and accessories. Please review our Shipping Policy before placing an order.

Firearm Shipments

  • All firearms must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. Firearms will not be shipped directly to customers.
  • When placing an order, you must provide the contact information of your chosen FFL dealer. The dealer must send us a valid copy of their FFL before we ship your firearm.
  • You will be required to complete the ATF Form 4473 and pass a background check at your FFL dealer before taking possession of the firearm.
  • Customers are responsible for all transfer fees charged by their FFL dealer.

Ammunition Shipments

  • Ammunition will be shipped only where legal. You must be of legal age in your state to purchase ammunition (18+ for rifle/shotgun ammo, 21+ for handgun ammo).
  • We do not accept returns on ammunition due to safety concerns.
  • Certain states and localities restrict ammunition shipments. Orders that cannot legally be completed will be cancelled.

Restricted Shipping Locations

Due to federal, state, or local laws, we cannot ship firearms or ammunition to certain areas. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • California (certain restrictions apply)
  • New York City
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Chicago, IL
  • Massachusetts
  • Connecticut
  • New Jersey
  • Any other jurisdiction where items are prohibited

It is your responsibility to know the laws in your area before placing an order. Orders placed for restricted items will be cancelled.

Shipping Methods & Timelines

  • Firearms and ammunition are shipped via common carriers (UPS, FedEx, or USPS, depending on product type and legal requirements).
  • Most orders ship within 3–5 business days after payment is processed and all FFL information is received.
  • Tracking information will be provided once your order has shipped.
  • We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, weather, or legal verification requirements.

Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on item weight, size, and destination.
  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless otherwise specified during a promotion or error on our part.

Damaged Shipments

If your order arrives damaged, you must notify us within 3 business days of delivery. Please keep all original packaging and take photos of the damage. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue.
